Nestled in the heart of the Swiss Valais, set between the renowned resorts of Zermatt and Saas Fee, stands Strahlhorn. While not presenting extreme mountaineering difficulties, its ascent proves to be a rewarding experience, characterized by considerable length and, above all, by views of rare beauty over the majestic 4000-meter peaks that surround it. From its summit, the view sweeps 360 degrees across an amphitheater of legendary peaks, creating a sense of total immersion in the high mountains.
The preferred starting point for this sought-after ascent is Britannia Hütte. This welcoming hut, strategically positioned, represents a convenient and popular base for mountaineers wishing to conquer Strahlhorn and admire its unparalleled views. The relative ease of access to the hut contributes to the route’s popularity, making it an ideal destination for those wanting to experience the thrill of high altitude in a first-class scenic setting.
Program
DAY 1:
Morning transfer from Cuneo to Saas Fee. Ascent by lift to Felskinn (station) and short transfer to Britannia Hütte (3030 m) for overnight stay.
DAY 2:
From the hut, ascent of the Allalingletscher to Adlerpass (3789 m). Climb via broad ridge and final crest to the summit of Strahlhorn (4190 m). Descent to Britannia Hütte and return to Saas Fee via the slopes.

The price excludes
- Transfers
- Overnight stay in hut with half board (the guide's accommodation is at the participants' expense)

Silvio Bassignano
Alpine Guide
A great mountain enthusiast, he spent many years managing the Bozano Refuge at the base of Corno Stella, a mountain on which he is also co-author of a monographic guidebook. He trained in the Maritime Alps and around Monviso, and collaborates with ski resorts and A.I.NE.VA. as safety director for avalanche risk prevention.

Alpine Guide
He lives in his native Maira Valley and engages in all aspects of mountain activities, but prefers remote and wild routes. A travel enthusiast, he has lived in both Barcelona and Sheffield, in the heart of the Peak District. He combines his passion with his work as an engineer.
Enrico Turnaturi
Alpine Guide, Ski Instructor
Born in Turin in 1989, he lives in Caraglio. In winter he works as a Mountain Guide, focusing on ski mountaineering and ice climbing, of which he is a great enthusiast. He is a ski instructor and ski racing coach. A great lover of trad climbing, in summer he alternates classic mountaineering with technical rock climbs. A photography and travel enthusiast, he has already climbed in various parts of the world, including Nepal, Patagonia, and Morocco. He divides his year between searching for powder snow and climbing, traveling across Europe. He is a National Instructor in the training courses for Mountain Guides.
