The Guiou Canyon, nestled in the French Maritime Alps, offers a naturalistic experience characterized by a very aquatic route. It winds through four distinct gorges, with the third extending for a considerable stretch. Although the streambed is often wide, the valley is at times deeply carved. Toward the end, the stream gradually opens toward the valley, and its waters take on a milky color, indicating the presence of gypsum in the terrain. The environment requires the use of a full wetsuit, even in summer, suggesting rather cool water temperatures.

Daniele Macagno
Alpine Guide, Ski Instructor
He divides his residence between Peveragno and Limone, where he also works as a ski instructor. A strong mountaineer with an impressive track record, he works as a Mountain Guide with enthusiasm and professionalism. He is a National Instructor in the training courses for Mountain Guides. He works as a helicopter rescue technician for the emergency medical service 118.
Andrea Garelli
Alpine Guide
He lives in his native Maira Valley and engages in all aspects of mountain activities, but prefers remote and wild routes. A travel enthusiast, he has lived in both Barcelona and Sheffield, in the heart of the Peak District. He combines his passion with his work as an engineer.
Paolo Pernigotti
Alpine Guide
He lives in Vernante but spends most of his time traveling to ski and climb. After gaining experience at heli-ski bases, Paolo spends his winters between searching for powder in the Alps and guiding ski mountaineering and freeride trips around the world. In spring he mainly focuses on ski mountaineering on 4000-meter peaks, while in summer he works in high mountains (Mont Blanc, Monte Rosa, Gran Paradiso, etc.), as well as rock climbing and canyoning. Autumn is dedicated to discovering new ski and climbing spots in order to always offer new adventures.
Since 2015 he has been collaborating with Salomon as an ambassador.
